The Accountancy Apprenticeship is for young people aged 16-24 interested in starting a career as an Accountant.

Learning Outcomes

The Accountancy Apprenticeship provides candidates with all of the skills required to gain qualifications awarded by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) who are the main awarding body for Accountancy Vocational Qualifications.

Course Structure

The Accountancy Apprenticeship offers different stages of accounting qualifications that cover a range of accounting skills. Candidates are able to progress through the qualifications with the possibility of eventually gaining Chartered Accountant status.The qualifications are:

  • AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting
  • AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting                                                             
  • AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting

Assessments

Apprentices will undergo a series of computer based assessments to assess their ability in a range of accounting practices in order to achieve the qualification they are working towards e.g. Level 2 Certificate in Accounting.

Certification

All candidates will obtain a recognised QCF qualification in accounting.
